Zombie Apocalypse + Compound on the Homebound
Be prepared or die trying
This probably doesnāt come as a surprise to youā¦
As some of you know, I run a solar company as my full time job. I had no idea, how many people I would meet that were preparing for the world to end. A Zombie Apocalypse, to be more specific.
Now, donāt get me wrong, Iām not that badā¦ Some customerās genuinely just wanted it for the benefits solar brings. So after a year of being there, we finally put solar on our house.
We installed the biggest battery system we could, just in case we needed it. It was an expensive investment, but WELL worth the peace of mind.
Iām curious, have you considered solar? If you own your home, you should. It detaches you from relying on the grid. In California & part of the West Coast, they have black out periods where the grid just shuts down. It will eventually make itās way through the US, Iām sure.
Iām now looking into rainwater preservation, & it hit me todayā¦ Iām one of them š
A stinking prepper.
Can you relate to this or am I the only one? I know this group is mostly for beginners ā but I canāt be alone, right?
Okay, Iām switching gears a little. I like to add a little personal & a little homestead into emails so you can find a lesson or two through these.
Iām really big into personal development. Itās my vice, I love it, itās impacted so much of my life. I could not be more grateful for the evolution I have had.
Compounding Emotions ā have you ever heard of it? Let me explain.
When you wake up from a bad night sleep, you mention it, right? To your partner, kids, coworker, etc. maybe you also mention you have a headache. Then your jacket gets caught on the door, your kids canāt put their shoes on fast enough, you spill your coffee ā it ALL compounds.
Weāve been there right?
This is compounding events, drawing connections to unrelated events that likely wouldāve happened if you had a great night sleep. You just may have had more space to hold these unrelated events.
SO if you can do it with unfortunate events, you can do it with fortunate events. You wake up, you CHOOSE to view your night as great, youāre excited to make breakfast, kiss your kids on the head, you play a game to get out of the house, itās allllll going according to the space you held for them. You seek cool animals in the clouds, the flowers are blooming, you LOVE life today.
Compound your emotions this week. Tell people youāre having a great day. What happens when you tell someone youāre having a bad day, they say WHY. What happens when you tell someone youāre having a great day, they say WHY.
I canāt explain the difference I had in my day when I started doing this on a regular basis. Whatās your emotional language to yourself & others? Are you a negative Nancy or a positive Polly?
Iām both, & I work really hard to bring out the best of myself everyday. This helped so much.
I love that youāre here, I hope this made a difference in your week! Remember to compound positivity this week, you got this! See you on the next round
Xo,
Lex
